For Two Great Highland Bagpipes

A formidable multi-movement piece designed to bridge the gap between
traditional piping and contemporary concert music. 'Rannsaich'
features non-traditional tunings and fingerings, and experimental
performance techniques that will challenge even the most experienced
players. The final section of this work is featured on the Manawatu Pipe Band's 'Twelve Thousand Miles' album (2009). (Approx. 14 minutes; instructions on performing experimental techniques included)
